Atlantic City Shows at the Trickzone Theater!

Recent Show in Wayland, MA

So it's June 7th, 2009 and I just finished a rather lively performance down in Wayland, MA. Not only were the kids there awesome. Everyone had a great time which makes me really happy. In fact, they liked it so much that one particular family hired me on the spot for an upcoming event this Friday.

Well as we all know I do not leave any questions from my Q&A section unanswered. Below you will find the answers to the questions I did not get to during the performance. Again the same formula applies. If there is no name, it will be marked as anonymous.

The Questions:

Q:What did I have for breakfast this morning? - Anonymous
A: You had a googie or a google. Something like that. I'm not sure what it is but I bet you loved it.

Q: Where do I work out? - Chris S.
A: Chris, you work out at Cressey Performance.

Q: What is my dog's name? - Julia
A: Your dog's name is Comet. Just like the golden retriever in Full House.

Q: What are my cousin's names? - Jade
A: There names are Jeffery and Dan.

Q: What is my sister's name? - Marika
A: Her name is Julia.

Q: When will I get married and to whom? - Jill
A: Everyone wants to know these types of questions. Unfortunately, I truly do not know at this time. I do have a slight feeling that you may already know him. But you will have no desire at the present time to start anything with this individual. I see him as a rather large guy, broad shouldered, perhaps brown eyes and a slightly darker complexion. Much taller than you also. Maybe into sports or some type of activity. Maybe football or hockey? Let me know how it goes!

Q: What did I order at Starbucks today? - Anonymous
A: Something delicious. :)

Q: What was the name of my first dog? - Dominico
A: His name was Pete I believe.

Q: What did Jeff do on Hill night? - Rachelle
A: He camped out in a tent or in some kind of rv.

Q: What are my grandmother's names? Alison
A: Alison, they're names are Nora and Jane.

Q: What was the name of my pet that ran away? - Heidi
A: Heidi, his name was Smokey and I'm very sorry about that.

Q: How many kids am I going to have? - Elise
A: Another one of these hard to answer questions. Well Elise you lead me to believe you certainly want kids. And the fact that you're asking "how many" will I have also leads me to believe you want more than one. I'm going to assume you'll have 3 but no more than 4.

Q: What was the name of my childhood band? - Fr. Krakor
A: The name of the band was "The Hye Daghas"

Q: At what age will I get married? - Jen
A: 28 years old. :)

Q: What hospital was I born in? - Dominico Jr.
A: You were born in Beth Israel Hospital.

Q: What was the name of my first golden retriever? - Anonymous
A: His name was Zizig.

Well that just about covers all of the unanswered questions. Again I want to thank the Hyde family for having me down tonight. I had a great time and look forward to coming back in the future!

Massachusetts Institute of Technology - Gamma Phi Delta Theta Show!

I know I'm not incredibly consistent with posting all of my shows on here but I've made a promise to myself to update this more frequently. Oh and thank you for all the great emails about the show! I'm really happy all of you who got to see me perform really enjoyed it. Keep em' coming!

Well I'm fresh off of last night's show for M.I.T's fraternity Gamma Phi Delta Theta. Needless to say it was on the most fun shows I've done in a long time. Talk about some hilarious kids who really know how to kick back and enjoy themselves.

Like all of my shows I always close with my Question and Answer demonstration. Last night was no different. I received a huge number of questions last night, with about 65 people in the audience there was 64! questions submitted! And I will come find the person who was too cool to write down a little question for me!! Just kidding.

Unfortunately because of time constraints on the show I'm only able to mentally answer about 10-12 questions. But as promised and like I do with all of my shows. I will now go ahead and address all of the uncalled questions.

Here's how it works if you're new to this. If you wrote your name on the question I will use your first name and answer your question honestly. If you did not write a name, I will address you as "Anonymous" and still answer your question honestly.

Here we go!

The Missed Questions:

Q: What is my favorite part of a turkey? - Alec
A: Alec, it is the dark meat! (my favorite too!)

Q: What is my presidential campaign slogan? - Ronaldo
A: Your slogan is "Change". Very simple and easy to get on board with. Also, thanks for all of your help Ronaldo!

Q: What is my brother's Korean name? - Nick
A: His name is Jungi. Very cool name by the way.

Q: What sport did you participate in while in high school? - Greg
A: You were a part of the wrestling team!

Q: What kind of car does my dad drive? - Sun
A: He drives a dark colored 2007 Honda Accord

Q: What is the flower of my sorority? - Alex
A: Your sorority flower is the Violet!

Q: What is the best part about my name? - Stum
A: There are no "E"s.

Q: What is the second word in the name of my elementary school? - Cromwell
A: This is a great question! So obscure. Anyways, the word is "Cox"

Q: What town did my dad grow up in? - Arielle
A: Also a great question. He grew up in Hicksville, New York. Why do I hear the theme song from deliverance?

Q: What is my first pet's name? - Ronaldo again
A: Thanks for writing two questions Ronaldo, his name was Alex.

Q: Will I go to China this summer? - Anonymous
A: Even though you're questioning going, asking the question "Will I go" kind of sounds like you're on the fence a little bit. I believe if you really want to go then you will. I have a feeling you just might. Let me know how it was when you get back!

Q: What is the make and model of my road bike? - Sun
A: It is a sweet Bianchi Europa

Q: Which Mass T line has the hottest girls? - Tim
A: Undoubtedly the green line.

Q: What is my middle name? - Anonymous
A: Your middle name is Alexandrovna .. cooool!

Q: What is the serial number of my saxaphone? - Anthony
A: Another awesome if not my favorite question! - The serial number is 200679

Q: What was my first car? - Ned
A: It was an ugly 1984 Jetta GLI (just kidding it wasn't that ugly)

Q: What were the colors of my school uniform when I lived in Australia? - Yuting
A: Another amazingly random question! They were gold and (your words here) Puke Green!

Q: What is my home address ? - Akira
A: 1-22-1-108 Nakamachi - Tokyo, Japan (this is not the full address obviously) And thank you for also including the literal Japanese characters here hehe.

Q: What did I do last summer? - Ainsley
A: God you people have some cool names. You did rowing for Canada.

Q: What college did my sister go to? - Margarita
A: Occidental College !

Q: What is the name of the street I grew up on? - Jean
A: It was Nicholson Dr. thank you for another awesome question Jean!

Well that just about concludes all of the questions. I did leave out a few personal ones and some that shouldn't be addressed on this forum. If you personally do not see your question send me an email at chris@chrisboltermagic.com and I will be happy to go over it with you!

I just want to say thank you to Gamma Phi Delta Theta for having me last night. You guys were awesome and I had a great time performing for you! I hope to see you again in the fall and blow your minds again!

Southern New Hampshire University Show on March 3rd, 2009 !

So I'm Just back from Southern New Hampshire University tonight in Hooksett, NH. Thankfully I got to drive home and not back to a hotel for this show. Life on the road can be very blah sometimes lol.

We (as in myself and my two good friends Anton and Jeff who were kind enough to tag along with me to record and check out the show. Thanks again guys!) had a fantastic show and I've realized that being a mentalist, sometimes the silent responses to my effects are better than applause. The sheer shock and awe on the kid's faces tonight was startling, jaws on the tables, eyeballs spinning in their heads, can't beat it. I'll take stunned silence any day, although we did have some very funny moments, Mr. 5/6. You know who you are!

As most of the colleges who work with me know, I always close with my question and answer demonstration. Where everyone writes down questions about life, love and whatever else is on their mind at the time and I attempt to mentally divine the questions and ultimately, the answers. Unfortunately due to time constraints we could not get to everyone's questions, but I did promise to answer all of the other ones I happened to miss here on this blog post. So here they are. Now please be aware, and I can not stress this enough. NO questions were read after the performance, they were all immediately thrown away. If you don't believe me, well... check your trash haha.

The Missed Questions:

For: Danielle Dow or Daw
Your question was "Where will I be in 7 months"
I believe it will be somewhere having to do with school and studying, but I'm not 100%. I do not know exactly where it is. But for some reason England and Ireland keep popping into my head.

For: Katie M.
Your question was "What is my boyfriend's name?"
His name is Ryan.. and he's just super haha

For MB:
You asked if you would marry Bill.
Now short of being wrong on this I can with almost full confidence say that Yes, eventually you will. Just don't give him such a hard time (you know what I'm talking about)

For: Kayla Diskin:
You asked if you will be chosen as a JumpStart mentor.
I think you will, they like you a lot.

For anonymous:
You asked when you will get married.
I think you will be 26 or 27.. but it will not be to who you expect.

For anonymous:
You live in Washington dorm.

For J.L:
You asked what you had surgery on when you were born.
It was on your left clubbed foot. Hope it worked out for you!

For J.F:
You asked when you will get a serious boyfriend.
Without naming names, (because I don't know), you'll get one when you're ready for it. Which I know you think you are, but you are not yet. Just be aware because he is around you all the time and you don't even know it.
P.S : Yes you know him.

For Anonymous:
You asked what your best friend's names are.
Joanne & Corinna

For Ali:
You asked what your boyfriend's name was.
Josh Hoxie

For Anonymous:
I believe that with 10 years being your goal. You are likely to not move back to NYC right away. Shorten your amount of time to get there and you'll psychologically force yourself to make it there again faster. Don't wait to long though, in this case good things do not come to those who wait. You belong in NYC. Live it up!

For Anonymous... again:
You asked when you were getting engaged.
Find a guy first.. then worry about getting engaged. Just kidding! The guy you're with now just may be the one, but you are doubting it somewhat. Don't worry, I'll give it a year. (until he pops the Q)

For Amy Collard:
You also asked if your current boyfriend would propose to you.
The best I can say about this is. You tend to bring this up a lot with him. Don't over push it or you'll scare him. He loves you and wants to spend some serious time with you. Let it work out and you'll be happy with the results.

For Emily:
You asked what you will be doing career wise.
I think you will be focused in marketing, brand management with specifics in Advertising. Enjoy it and work hard!

For KM:
You live in Osterville, MA - Cape Cod.

For Anonymous:
You asked what your dorm number is.
327

For Anonymous:
You asked how many people you graduated with.
It was small, only 56.

For Meghan C.
You asked who you're favorite actor was.
I take it your either a Harry Potter fan, or a Twilight fan considering Robert Pattinson hasn't done to much else. (Wait until you see New Moon)

For Katie M.
Your boyfriend's name is Ryan.

Well that just about does it. If you happen to see you're question make sure you comment on it so others can see.

Again, thank you Southern New Hampshire University I had an awesome time and I can't wait to come back!

Take Care,
Chris Bolter

Springfield College Performance

A QUICK RECAP OF THE SHOW!

I'm absolute rubbish with keeping up with my blog. But constant updates are going to becoming faster and faster. Aside from that I just performed (just being 3 days ago now) a fantastic show at Springfield College in western Massachusetts. My home town of Quincy is about 2.5 hours east right south of Boston. So I had a nice road trip across the state.
The show was held in the very cool Alumni Hall right on the back end of the campus. Having been a somewhat muggy, rainy day we had a great turn out of very excited kids. (as you can see in the pictures)
To some students who I may not have reached during the Question and Answer phase of the show.
(only those who were at the show who wrote questions will understand the following statements)

For S.D:
Your favorite colors are red, green and yellow.

For Joanna C:
Why? Because you said so!

For Meagan:
Your mother's name is Lynn

For A.R:
You work at Six Flags New England (and you just love it!)

For D.S:
Your dog's name is Marley

For A.L:
If Nikki plays her cards right I believe they will

For Alison Harder:
Your sis' boyfriend's name is Mike L.

For Mindy:
Only if you switch majors. Jk.. If you work hard and love what you do you most certainly will

For C.C:
Your favorite TV show is "What I like about you"

For A.S:
Your first dog was a cockier spaniel - her name was Candy Girl

For Meg T:
You were born at Shaw Air Force Base Hospital in Sumter, South Carolina

For Kyle:
You had your wallet, ipod and cellphone stolen from you. Hang on to your stuff man!

For Sean:
Your nephew's name is Anthony

Well that's pretty much it. If I missed you I sincerely apologize and hope you enjoyed the rest of the performance. If you check back on my facebook page and YouTube, along with my web site of course you should see some clips from the show very soon! So stick around!

I wanted to thank Ryan and Sam for all their amazing help at Springfield, my crew and I had an awesome time and can not wait to come back.

See you all soon.. and don't forget... I'm in your heads!!
